We’re delighted to announce the success of a heartwarming community project in partnership with the Bourne Central branch of Kindred Nurseries, formerly known as Building Blocks Kindergarten (BBK).
With our fleet in Bourne working tirelessly every day to support efficient and sustainable recycling, we wanted to inject some personality into the yard while also reinforcing our commitment to the local community. Involving Kindred Nurseries – Bourne Central was a natural fit, as the nursery is renowned for nurturing creativity and the staff were wonderfully supportive throughout the campaign.
We invited the children at Kindred Nurseries – Bourne Central to take part in a fun initiative to name our vehicles, giving character to the machinery that plays such an important role in daily recycling operations. During a special photoshoot at the nursery, the children proudly held the newly designed registration plates featuring the winning names. These plates have now been installed on the vehicles at our Bourne site.
Our vehicles have now officially been named:
As a thank you for their support, we’ve gifted the nursery a range of presents, including recycling-themed items and loose parts that support their curiosity-based approach to learning.
“We wanted to bring a bit of personality to our yard while giving local children a fun way to engage with recycling,” said Chris Seggie, Managing Director of BSH Recycling. “The team at Kindred Nurseries – Bourne Central has been incredibly supportive throughout, and it’s been brilliant to see the children holding up the new registration plates. Having these names on our vehicles adds a real sense of character to the site.”
Thank you to the staff, children, and families at Kindred Nurseries – Bourne Central for their enthusiasm, creativity, and support throughout the campaign.
